Celestine
Bristol-born Celestine is a widely-acclaimed, fast-rising jazz/soul singing talent.
Her superb live style and dazzling on-stage presence have graced major London shows
and garnered substantial public and media acclaim. Most recently, she supported legendary
soul stars The Temptations at the O2, and she’s featured at the Royal Albert Hall
and in the Royal Variety Show.
She has an impressive list of recordings, collaborations and song-writing credits
to her name, including “Strange Addiction” on the Spooky album “Open”, and “All of
Me” (co-written with Stone Roses’ Nigel Ipinson-Flemming) on Crucial Records’ “Garage
Gospel”. Her collaboration with Sonic Syringe on the EP “Inside” led to a six-week,
number one run on the Ujima Chart.
Celestine now releases “Secret Side”, 12-tracks of one-take live studio recordings
described as a “an innovative part-funksome, part-mellow mix of soul and jazz with
velvet vocals”.
Reporting from a recent live gig, Venue Magazine described Celestine as a “slinky
shimmering vision in a high-cut dress of Dairy Milk purple with a smoothness of voice
to match”. And the VP of Sony Music USA, D Massey describes her as an “outstandingly
talented artist”.
So expect to hear a lot more. Meanwhile, “Secret Side" is available for download
on iTunes, CDBaby and Amazon MP3. CDs are available via Amazon.
